Lindsey Wishart – Treasurer

Lindsey has been a charity Trustee for the past 15 years.

Before becoming Treasurer of the Social Interest Group, Lindsey was Treasurer of Penrose Options, having been impressed by the very low re-offending rates that they achieve.

Lindsey previously held senior finance positions in London boroughs, specialising in housing and social care. Lindsey has a CIPFA professional accountancy qualification and is a long standing member of the CIPFA Housing Panel.

She is currently Treasurer (Trustee/Director) of KeyRing, and is on the Board of Advance Housing and Support Ltd. Both these organisations provide innovative support for vulnerable people, including those with mental illness and learning disabilities.

She is also a Lay Member of Brent Clinical Commissioning Group, where she chairs the Finance, QIPP and Performance Committee and the Primary Co-commissioning Joint Committee.

In her spare time she plays the violin.

Zelda Peters – Trustee

Zelda brings clinical governance, oversight support and clinical advice to the Social Interest Group board.

In her career, Zelda works as an independent Project Manager and Transformation Lead, enabling mental health trusts to redesign services for the future.

Zelda is also a highly experienced and successful Managing Director, who has skills and experience at operational and strategic level in health and social care.

With over 30 years’ experience in both clinical and senior operational positions, Zelda has worked with vulnerable people in highly complex environments. This includes working with services which support people with learning disabilities, substance misuse and multiple needs. She has a very successful track record of designing, creating, implementing and delivering services, to ensure operational, financial and clinical performance targets are achieved. She has a proven ability to develop corporate and national sector strategic plans and deliver on key objectives.

In terms of her commitment to the Social Interest Group, Zelda says: ‘I am passionate about continuous service improvement, reducing the stigma of mental health recovery and rehabilitation-focused services, which enable and support people.’

Craig Brown – Trustee

Craig has worked as a clinician in the NHS for over twenty years, specialising in critical care. He manages several teams and services within the NHS and more recently joined the Academic Health Science Networks. This involves supporting Trusts, Commissioners and Local Authorities to develop projects that will impact the lives of patients across North West London.

He has been involved with both the charitable and voluntary sector for a number years, working as a volunteer within an HIV charity and as a Samaritan for five years.

“The desire to support people when they are vulnerable and alongside people who care about them has been central to my values for as long as I remember, which is why I am privileged to work with Penrose. During my time so far as a Trustee I have met some wonderful staff at Penrose, all of whom care passionately about the work they do. As a Trustee on the Board I am interested in how I can support you to capture and share that impact with other organisations and commissioning agencies.”
