Aspinden Wood Centre is a dynamic response to people in crisis. It is a CQC registered Care Home based in Bermondsey, South East London. The service has a national remit and has accommodation for 26 people, male and female, who are high impact, change and treatment resistant drinkers. They may also have complex or chronic physical health care needs and require 24/7 care and support.
AWC offers residents the chance to gain stability in their lives and reduce the harm caused by alcohol, whilst improving their physical health & mental well-being. They are given the help to develop skills and techniques to better manage their alcohol intake and build ‘recovery capital’, without the need to be completely abstinent from alcohol during their stay.
