Brook Drive is a CQC registered, residential community drug and alcohol detoxification unit, consisting of 26 bed spaces. The service is open 24 hours 365 days a year and provides medically supervised alcohol and drug detoxification programmes for people aged 18 and above. Many of our service users also have other needs including diagnosed mental ill health, pre-existing physical health needs and challenging life circumstances. Brook Drive is a big and busy service with an NHS supported complex care pathway and a full time GP service integrated on site. There is a multidisciplinary staff team of 20, including nurses, recovery substance misuse/mental health workers, complimentary therapy workers and group workers.
We pride ourselves on the strength of our recovery programme, diversity of our staff and the effective relationships that we build with our service users. We can see upwards of 550 service users a year, and completion rates are high with a benchmark of 85+% achieving their goals. There is no single achievement that can encompass what we do, but the service and its’ staff are dedicated to supporting our Service Users to achieve and sustain recovery.
