Our Impact

"Equinox does not see Service User Involvement as a tick box exercise; it is central to our core values"

Kelly Hallett, Managing Director Equinox

We supported over 1,300 people in 2016/2017 who had substance misuse and/or mental health problems.

We opened 4 new services to allow for the increasing demand for what we do.

Using the Recovery Star framework of support over 72% of our service users improved in areas such as

  • addictive behaviour
  • identify and self esteem
  • managing mental health
  • relationships
  • responsibilities
  • trust and hope
  • work
  • living skills

Service User Involvement is at the core of what we do – we empower people to determine their own recovery and support plan to determine the way in which their support is delivered.

At an organisational level we encourage service users to get involved in activities at a local, regional and national level and contribute to the overall direction of our business.  Our practice is consistently tested and challenged by our service users , making it more responsive and adaptable.
