Equinox Care are highlighting stories about alcohol during Alcohol Awareness Week 2013. We do not take a doctrinaire view about alcohol recovery at Equinox Care - we provide support, care and accommodation to help Equinox Care service users find their own road to recovery and independence.

For people who come to Equinox Care and choose to stop drinking alcohol, there are many ways they can pass their experience on to others.

Take Daniel, for example. He was drinking alcohol heavily before his time at Equinox Brook Drive and he says himself he didn't have a constructive lifestyle.

As part of Alcohol Awareness week 2013, we are highlighting a range of personal testimonies about alcohol. Daniel's decision was to choose abstinence-based recovery, which he has been doing now for 2 years. Part of his recovery process is to help others - and one of the ways Daniel does this is through his work as an Equinox service user rep.

Read Daniel's story here about how he represents current Equinox service users.
