In the first of nine stories for Equinox 'Nine Lives', John talks about living with schizophrenia on World Mental Health Day 2014.

John is speaking at City Hall today at an event opened by Deputy Mayor of London, Victoria Borwick, featuring contributions and speakers from SANE, The Mental Health Foundation, Equinox Care, The Advocacy Project and others. The event also features stalls from Penrose, Young Minds , NSUN , The Centre for Mental HealthBEAT , LVSC , Living Well CIC and Free Your Mind CIC.

We'll be sharing the full story of the City Hall celebrations for World Mental Health Day soon, but for now, here's what John has to say.

'Nine Lives' can be seen by the general public at Holborn Library from 3pm on 10th October through to 31st October, working in partnership with Camden Libraries. The address is 32-38 Theobalds Road, London WC1X 8PA.

Please tweet us @EquinoxUK with your experiences of mental ill health and recovery, including anyone who has experienced this themselves, as well as family, friends and carers.
