Spectrum service

Our Aims

Our principal aim is to promote the recovery and reduce the social exclusion of people with alcohol and drug related problems who engage in street activity within the Camden area and in doing so improve the quality of their lives.
We offer a comprehensive range of group work programmes as well as sessions run by external agencies on issues such as harm reduction, relapse prevention, housing benefit, and health issues etc.
We will actively engage Service Users in the design and delivery of the service, as well as offering advocacy/befriending services. Equinox is strongly committed to the promotion of Service User involvement in all aspects of the planning and delivery of the service. We aim to provide an inclusive, holistic and non-judgmental service tailored to meet individual needs.

What we can offer:

  • Practical advice and information and support to claim benefits, live healthily, access adult learning and employment opportunities etc.
  • Assessment and appropriate referral if Service Users wish to access support and treatment.
  • Advice, information and support to access local services and leisure activities in Camden.
  • Provide Service Users with health care and harm minimisation advice.
  • Work through agreed support plans, so that Service Users can take steps towards change.
  • We offer an environment where Camden Service Users can have access to basic amenities such as snacks, showers etc in a safe space where they can also socialise and have a sense of self worth.
  • In partnership with Red Kite Learning there will be access to training programmes to help enhance employment skills and opportunities for meaningful occupation.
