The service is for people enduring mental health problems and complex needs. Our service users usually have secondary issues such as offending, substance misuse and homelessness. Many of our service users are considered high risk and have had multiple periods in custody or hospital.

We provide service users with a much needed sense of security and stability so that they can concentrate on recovering from the negative experiences in their past. We work with clients to improve their quality of life and go on to have happy and fulfilling futures. We encourage clients to develop coping strategies, supportive relationships and insight to empower them to maintain good mental health. Equinox Lewisham also work with our service users to be a part of the wider community through volunteering and educational or social placements.

The service is committed to improving the wellbeing of our clients.

The nature of the service requires that full risk appraisals are carried out for and with all service users and the staff are all trained to manage the complex, challenging needs of the men and women who access the service.
